The Birthday Shawl has turned into a big blue blob.  I am pretty close to finishing, probably only 4 or 5 inches to go.  But a shawl of 576 sts, even a straightforward one such as this, 4 or 5 inches is a lot of knitting.  I don’t have to have this finished any time [...]

I have been knitting happily away on the Aran square, a bit here, a bit there. Something however didn’t seem right but I couldn’t put my finger on it so I continued to knit (do you do that or is it just me?). This is what my square looked like (notice the past tense).

Funny how when you work on a project it makes progress isn’t it?
Seems like I’ve been knitting these for ages, for a pair of socks it has taken me a while I suppose. I actually started these in December (thanks Ravelry, I wouldn’t remember otherwise!) so that’s about three plus months!
